Abstract (EN)
In this study, heat treatments, cooling types, wear resistances and microstructures of high chromium white cast iron were observed. The eutectic high chromium white cast iron is alloyed with Ce and B elements and subjected to heat treatment in a heat and time-controlled furnace at 900 and 950 °C temperatures for 1 and 2 hours waiting times, and at 550, 600, 650 and 700 °C with diffusion waiting times of 3, 6, 9 and 12 hours. at diffusion temperatures. Finally, cooling in water and air was applied. The hardness of the samples were measured in Rockwell and Mikrovickers hardness measuring devices. Wear values were measured by means of a wear test setup for abrasive wear. The internal structure of the samples was visualized by means of an optical microscope. As a result of this study, the Ce.4 sample, which was kept at 950°C for 2 hours at austenitization temperature and cooled in water, had a hardness of 65.2 HRC and a change in wear amount of 0.1015 g, was the hardest and kept at 950°C for 2 hours at austenitization temperature. and water-cooled, with a hardness of 61.7 HRC and a change in the amount of wear of 0.0646 g, the B.4 sample had the highest abrasive wear resistance and was kept at 950°C for 1 hour at austenitization temperature, at 650°C for 12 hours. Ce.16 sample, which was kept in the diffusion process in a salty environment and cooled in air, had a hardness of 47.03 HRC and a change in wear amount of 0.1287 g, was found to be the softest.
