A research about choosing construction system within modular coordination for hotel buildings

The ambition of this study is: forming hotel bed room unit using systematic design methods, evaluating `bed room unit' solutions within the scope of modular coordination and reaching project module, supporting the validity of the Project module in the context of present examples, determining the building system bound to the appropriate room unit and module and doing a sample application which is applicable in our country based on the results derived during the research.Under the title ? forming room unit for hotel buildings and module choice?; definition of hotels, types and basic principles in their design are explained, systematic designing of hotel room unit and forming a modular building are examined. The study made is supported with examining examples in Turkey.In the part ?choice of building system for hotel buildings?, building systems are examined in detail and classification is examined generally, appropriate building systems for hotel buildings are determined by analyzing classifications.In the part related to the potential places where the chosen building system?s vertical bearings can correspond in bed floors a method is determined and plan alternatives which can provide data for hotel designers are produced with this method.In the light of all data obtained during the research, a sample application which can be applied under our Country?s conditions is done. There are the modular bed room unit and bed floor block which is derived from it in the application.
