Qualitative evaluation of outsourcing in hotel businesses: An application in TR 81 Region

Outsourcing is a contemporary management technique preferred by many businesses operating in almost every sector today. Outsourcing as one of the most important ideas and practices of the last 75 years by the Harvard Business Review, outsourcing continues to be one of the newest trends in the business world and continues to be discussed in a number of ways. In this study, in the light of the academic studies conducted, the definition of the concept of outsourcing, the use of outsourcing process, the advantages and disadvantages of the enterprises in this process are included, and the effects of the outsourcing practice on the hotel enterprises were examined. Regional development projects are carried out for the development of regions in our country. The weaknesses and strengths of the regions are determined through the development projects prepared. Zonguldak Karabük and Bartın (ZBK), one of the TR81 development projects, have been assigned to our study. The companies operating in the tourism sector in these regions are examined with the tourism operating certificates. It was aimed to evaluate the positive and negative effects of outsourcing of the hotels. Evaluation of the outsourcing of these hotels, core competence awareness and the positive and negative effects of outsourcing on the hotel in terms of hotel managers. It is aimed to make suggestions in the light of our work to the hotel enterprises in the region. Key Words: Outsourcing; hotel; West Blacksea
