Problems faced at the food and beverage servi?ce department of hotel and tourism vocational school for girls

The aim of this research is to determine the problems, which are seen at vocational classes at the food and beverage service department of the schools such as hotel and tourism vocational school ,vocational school for girls which train employees for food and beverage department of tourism, for both teacher and student extent. The relevant review of the literature has been done and 132 teachers who work at hotel and tourism vocational school ,vocational school for girls in 2011-2012 academic year and 523 student who are trained at those schools have been applied the survey.Necessary analysis have been done to check the reliability of the scales used in this work and Chronbach?s Alpha value of the teacher scale has been found as 0,77, Chronbach?s Alpha value of the student scale has been found as 0,70. `Percentage?, `Periodicity?, ?inferential (independet samples t test? ,?one way ANOVA? and Tukey HSD post hoc? analysises have been used at the analysis of the datas.According to the indications of the survey, the expression, students have problems about length of working hours in intership training and subject of permissions, particularly emphasized by the students applied the survey (mean score is 2,36). Additionally, it is emphasized by the teachers (mean score is 2,46) and the students, applied the survey, it is a problem that students have to find the equipments, on their own for practices.Furthermore, it is indicated that one of the problems for teachers is not to be able to do practising course individually (mean score is 2,74), and in-service training courses have to be increased (mean score is 2,42) in order for teachers to improve themselves.
