Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the job motivation levels and managerial relationship perceptions of seasonal and full-time employees working in hotel enterprises operating in the Antalya region. Designed based on the relational screening model, the research investigates differences between employment type and the variables of job motivation and supervisor-subordinate relations. The study population consists of all lower- and mid-level hotel employees in Antalya, while the sample includes 801 hotel employees selected through convenience sampling. The data collection instrument comprises three main sections: demographic characteristics, job motivation scale, and supervisor-subordinate relationship scale. The job motivation scale includes both intrinsic and extrinsic factors and demonstrated high reliability with Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.83 and 0.84, respectively. The managerial relationship scale was based on the interactional justice dimension and also exhibited strong internal consistency as confirmed by Cronbach's alpha. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25. T-tests, ANOVA, Tukey HSD, and regression analyses were conducted. Findings indicate a statistically significant difference in managerial relationships based on employment type (p < 0.001), with full-time employees reporting more positive relationships. However, no significant difference was found in intrinsic and extrinsic motivation scores between seasonal and full-time staff (p > 0.05). Regression analysis revealed that job motivation significantly predicts the quality of managerial relationships (β = 0.923; p < 0.001; R² = 0.616), highlighting that highly motivated employees tend to form stronger and more positive relationships with their managers.
