This thesis titled "the effects of the architectural design of hotels on customer preference - a research on five star hotels in Alanya

Hotels are important place or various Tourism types which occupies a vast field among accommodation. Hotels should keep their profitability and besides this of being sustain-able trade company qualifications by acting accordingly on their customer preferences. Especially recently customer preferences diversified and different customer demands are in place therefore this gives the possibility to the hotels which can integrate otantic and modern accordingly with customer choices gets and advantageous location in the competition. To grasp the customer demands there can be various methods to be fol-lowed up but in any case when planning interior and exterior design elements taking into account customer demands of future and today would help besides purpose of use, targeted society, and location of building. In this study after exploring relevant literature impact of customer preferences relation with design of 5 star hotels in Alanya which is an important touristic district of Antalya has been accomplished. Data were collected through interviews on how the preferences of customers in their businesses affect inte-rior and exterior design elements through a questionnaire prepared for 5-star hotels se-lected in the region. The data obtained were evaluated and interpreted through question groups. In order to analyse the subject in the research, there are the results determined as a result of the analysis of the data obtained through the question groups from the managers of the hotels included in the research. Explanatory definitions and comments have been put forward depending on the determined outputs.
