Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to examine the mechanic characteristics of the structures formed by the connection of galvanized (St1314) plate and aluminum (A15754) plate using clinching method. Galvanized and aluminum sample plates were prepared in accordance with TS EN ISO 6892-1 standard and their pulling (allurement) experiments were done and mechanical characteristics of the materials were obtained samples, cut and prepared in accordance with standards, were attached using clinching method. The attached samples were carried out cutting experiment in accordance with TS EN ISO 14270. Sectioning was done on the attached materials by cutting vertically and then their micro photos were examined, appropriate attachments and inappropriate ones were determined. When the materials attached with clinching method were achieved, when materials with similar thickness were used and when ductile material were used at the below during the attachment. When the attached thickness rate between the materials increased, some problems were seen to occur during the attachment when the attachment of materials with different thicknesses were examined , some cracks and breakaways occur due to the increase of plastics deformation if the thick material is used on the upper side and thin material on the bottom side. In the attachment of materials with similar thicknesses, translocation of materials, doesn?t lead to negations affecting attachment.
