Abstract (EN)

With the increasing competition in the industry, manufacturers are forced to improve their production by coming up with methods that promote faster and more efficient production. The only way to stay competetive is by improving your systems constantly without any reduction in quality and keeping up with the latest technological developments. Remote laser welding method is a method that was created with the latest technological developments. With its unique advantages the method was widely accepted by various industries mainly the automotive industry. The possibility of focusing the laser precisely on needed locations of the part creates manufacturing flexibility and reduces production cost due to fast processing abilities. The thesis exemines the remote laser welding method principles, advantages, the subsystems that create the remote welding system, and comparison with the conventional methods in detail. Furthermore remote laser welding systems at Ford Otosan were examined.
