Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to obtain plastinated plants which protect their morphological properties by adapting the plastination method for the protection of animal tissues such as bird, mammal and reptile to the plant tissue. Approximately fifteen trials were conducted as pre-thesis studies and eight of them were considered suitable for the thesis. There are two main sections in this thesis: The first section is the determination of the fixation solution and the method which protects the herbaceous plant morphology effectively; the second one is the determination of suitable materials and methods for plastination of fixed herbaceous plants. In our study, various chemical solutions were applied to detect plants and passed through series of alcohol and acetone in the dehydration step. The use of silicone and glycerin materials was preferred as the plastination material and the method of the second part of the thesis. Plastination method was applied. It was concluded that the most appropriate content and method for the fixation solution is the method we have inspired by Shamasundar's study. Glycerine impregnation applied plastination technique was obtained to preserve the morphological properties as close as the original form and obtain non-toxic, odorless, dry and durable materials by plastinating the plant samples.
