Abstract (EN)

Many academic studies analyze games through narrative by examining them as textual representations, while others focus on the concept of interactivity and creativity by evaluating games as works of art. In these approaches, the recognition of games as art is based on their representational content and the values they carry as objects. From this perspective, games are regarded as a form of fiction, and their aesthetic values are found in fixed attributes such as narrative, characters, and plot. All of these views focus on the object itself and its inherent qualities, neglecting the player's experience within the process, and they link the artwork's status solely to its object-like features. However, there exists a range of process philosophy-based thoughts that could distinguish games from other media. This study will refer to thinkers such as C. Thi Nguyen, A. Galloway, and G. Deleuze, exploring the concepts of game and gameplay within the realm of process philosophy. The central issue of this research is to investigate how players create forces of process, action, and affect within a dimension appropriate to the game. The information obtained in the research was applied in practice through the development of a game prototype under the title "Gezgin" Application Project.
