Özcan Karabulut's life, literary personality and works

Özcan Karabulut, who is one of the contemporary Turkish literati, is one of the artists who are included in our literature with her novel and especially with the Decals she wrote. It is possible to see the traces of Turkish politics and the returns of the period on individuals in the works he has written. The author was not indifferent to both the political and individual issues of the society in which he lived, he reflected them in his works. The aim of our study titled "Ozcan Karabulut's Life, Literary Personality and Works" is to reveal the author's place in Turkish literature, his understanding of art and his contributions to Turkish storytelling. Our study consists of three parts apart from the introduction and conclusion sections. In the introduction, the process of Turkish politics that has developed since the 1950s to the present day and the impact of the process on literature are emphasized, then information on the author's life, literary personality and works is discussed in the second part. In the third part of the study, the structure in the works is focused on. In this section, the author's conflicts, personal staff, space, time, handling and perspectives used in the works, expression techniques and language and style are focused on. In the fourth section, the themes are examined. The information obtained is evaluated in the conclusion section Özcan Karabulut has published 48 stories and 1 novel so far. When the works in question are examined, it is seen that the author focuses on social issues, especially politics and child workers. The influence of the 1980s period is felt intensely in the works. The reflections of social difficulties on the individual are also conveyed in this direction. One of the most focused themes is sexuality. The author has expressed this title, which is seen as an explosion of the post-1980s, in a way intertwined with love and women in his works.
