Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to investigate the burnout and perceived stress of private and public hospital doctors. In addition, the relationships between burnout and perceived stress were determined and it was investigated whether these variables differ according to demographic characteristics. The sample of this study consists of 144 medical doctors working in private and state hospitals. The study was based on random sampling and volunteering. "Maslach Burnout Inventory", Perceived Stress Scale" and a sociodemographic data form developed by the investigator were used for the data collection. As a result of the research, it's found that there was a statistically significant relationship between burnout and the levels of perceived stress among physicians. Thus, as the level of perceived stress level increased in physicians, the burnout syndrome increased. There was no significant difference of burnout and the level of perceived stress between the physicians working at private and state hospitals. The results of the study are discussed in the light of the current literatüre.
