Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the individual physical activity program (UBFAP) adapted according to the physical fitness and motor skill levels of special education vocational school students. The study was an experimental research with a pre-test and post-test control group. A total of 22 special education vocational school students in 11 experimental (3 girls, 8 boys) and 11 control (4 girls, 7 boys) groups participated in the study. UBFAP was planned for 12 weeks and the study was conducted two days a week (80 minutes for each day). Before and after the program, long jump, medicine ball throwing, flexibility, right and left hand reaction, static balance, leg and back strength, right and left hand grip, vertical jump, push-up and 30m sprint tests were applied to the experimental and control groups. SPSS 20.0 package program was used to evaluate the data obtained from the study. Wilcoxon signed-rank test, one of the non-parametric tests, was used to compare the pre and post-test results within the group, and Mann Whitney U Test, one of the non-parametric tests, was used to compare the pre and post-test measurement results of the experimental and control groups between the groups. According to the findings of the study, no significant difference was found in the experimental group pre and post test height, weight, BMI and hip circumference parameters, while statistically significant differences were found in all other parameters. In the post-test of the experimental group and the control group; long jump, medicine ball throwing, right hand reaction, left hand reaction, static balance, leg strength, back strength, vertical jump and push-up parameters were improved in favor of the experimental group. According to the rank mean values of weight, BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, flexibility, right and left hand grip and 30 m. sprint, parameters, which were not significantly different in the post-test findings of the experimental group and the control group, improvement was observed in favor of the experimental group. As a result, it was determined that the adapted individual physical activity program positively affected the physical fitness and motor skill levels of Special Education Vocational School students. UBFAP applied within the scope of the study can be used within the scope of physical education and sports, sports and physical activities courses of special education schools.
