Abstract (EN)

With the inclusion of the child with special needs in the family, many problems occur in family life, and families enter a continuous process of change. While struggling with the changes in their lives, families undoubtedly feel some needs. In this study, the lifelong learning needs of parents with special needs children, who are considered as adults, which occur with the birth of their children, are emphasized. In the study, the Educational Needs Determination Form for Families (AEGBF) was used and applied to 93 families with children with special needs. SPSS23 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program was used in the analysis of the data. Data were analyzed by t test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis. As a result of the analyzes, there was a significant relationship between the AEGBF items and the type of disability, the number of children in the family, the education level of the parents and the age of the child, there was no significant relationship between the total AEGBF score and the type of disability, and the number of children in the family (p>0.05). It was determined that there was a significant relationship between the total AEGBF score and the education level of the parents(p<0.05).
