Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to find out the effects of work to family and family to work conflicts on organizational commitment of nurses working in private hospitals. The sample of this study consists of 120 nurses working in private hospitals in Samsun province. Regression analysis was used to evaluate the effects of work and family, work to family and family to work conflicts on organizational commitment and correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relations between descriptive characteristics of nurses (age, gender, marital status, educational status, parental status, presence of person in need nursing at home, title, job seniority, workplace seniority, weekly working hours) and work to family, family to work conflicts and organizational commitment. The results of the study revealed that work and family, work to family and family to work conflicts didn't have any significant effect on organizational commitment of nurses. In other respects, it is found that work to family and family to work conflicts had positive and significant relation with weekly working hours and also work to family conflict had negative and significant relations with workplace seniority and age. Any significant relation between organizational commitment and descriptive characteristics of nurses wasnt't found.
