Abstract (EN)

Special Learning Disability (SLD) is stated as adversities depended on diverse reasons, which emerge when talking, reading, writing and learning. On the children who have SLD, lingual problems like having difficulty in comprehending verbal subjects, speaking, visual perception problems and cognitive problems including comprehension disorders are observed. Aim of the study is evaluating the result of Stroop- Basic Sciences Research Team (TBAG) form and articulation abilities on 7-11 years old children who have SLD. 100 SLD children aging between 7-12 who are participated in the study are separated in 5 parts according to their age (7 years one month old- 8 years; 8 years one month old- 9 years; 9 years one month old- 10 years; 10 years one month old- 11 years; 11 years one month old- 12 years). 20 children are included in each group. Stroop test, TBAG form and AAT are given to all the children. In terms of articulation abilities, deficiency is monitored on all age groups of children who have SLD. 7 years old children are observed to have more articulation problems than 11 years old children. According to Stroop TBAG form, completion time is stated to be less on 11 years old students compared to 7 years old students. Plus, in yerms of mistakes and corrections made on Stroop TBAG form, 7 years old children are observed to exhibit lower performance compared to the 11 years old children. As basic AAT points escalate, increase of completion time of Stroop form is observed in all 5 parts. As articulation abilities decrease, performance reduction is observed in all 5 parts on Stroop TBAG form. It's stated that there is a correlation between articulation abilities and attention abilities.
