Research of job satisfaction physical education teachers who works college schools and private schools (Manisa central model)

VI SUMMARY The general Purpose of this study was to examine the Job Satisfaction levels of physical education teachers who work in Private and state Schools. Specifically, this study had two purposes. The first purpose was to determine which factors effected the job satisfaction (internal-external). The second purpose was to analyze whether there was a significant difference in job satisfaction levels in turns of gender, age, marital status, working institution seniority and income level. The participants were 102 physical education teachers from private (n=33) and state (n=69) schools in Manisa. Job Satisfaction and related factors were measured by using the Minnesota Satisfaction inventory that was developed by Weiss, et al. (1967) and translated in to Turkish by Baycan (1986). The data were collected through personal information forms and the Minnesota Satisfaction Inventory. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS 10.0 statistical package. For the descriptive statistics, mean and Standart Deviation of variables were reported. In addition, Cronbach's Alpha was reported for reliability purpose. Independent t-test was used to examine group differences. ANOVA was the preferred analysis for examining variables such as seniority, marital status and age. Prefered Poshoc test was Tukey LSD to reveal specific group differences. For the purpose, results revealed the job satisfaction levels of teachers who work in private schools were statistically different than the job satisfaction levels of teachers who work in state schools.vıı SUMMARY (continiued) While there were statistişcally significant differences in seniority and income variables, age, gender and marital status variables revealed no differences.
