Comparing the nourishment habits of the four six aged group children attending the preschool private and state educatıonal institutions

iiiABSTRACTCOMPARING THE NOURISHMENT HABITS OF THE FOUR - SIX AGED GROUPCHILDREN ATTENDING THE PRESCHOOL PRIVATE AND STATEEDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONSThis research that has been planned and performed in order to compare thenourishment habits of the four - six aged group children attending the preschool privateand state educational institutions consists of the 362 children attending the preschoolprivate and state educational institutions in the central counties of Ankara, and scanningmethod has been applied at the research. This research has been done in from 2005 to2006.The data has been collected by the poll form prepared before; the tall and weight ofeach child have been measured. The poll form has been prepared in accordance with thesocial economic characteristics, habits of nourishment, and attitudes of eating.According to the research results, it has been understood that 42 % of the childrenattending the private schools and 44 % of the children attending government schoolsskipped meal, and the skipped meal was lunch at the rate of 36 %. It has beendetermined that 55,4 % of the children didn?t consume vegetable every day, on the otherhand, 33,8 % of the children attending the private schools consumed the fast-readyfood once or twice a week. It has been concluded concerning the children attending thepreschool private and state educational institutions that there exited differences about themost liked sort of cheese and the frequency of consuming fast food.
