Abstract (EN)
In the last period of the information age, physical labor has gradually started to be replaced by intellectual labor. With the globalizing world, the concept of mobbing has started to come to the fore more in recent times when the competitive environment in organizations has increased. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of mobbing exposure level on job satisfaction in private sector employees. The sample of the research, which was designed within the framework of the relational scanning model, consisted of 147 employees of travel agencies operating in the province of Izmir. Personal Information Form, Mobbing Scale and Job Satisfaction Scale were used in the study. Frequency analysis was applied to the questions regarding the demographic data of the participants, and the distribution of the data was presented in the tables as "n" and "%". Afterwards, the mean and standard deviations of the expressions of the Mobbing and Job Satisfaction scale used in the research were evaluated. Whether the mobbing and job satisfaction scales differ according to demographic data was analyzed with significance tests. Before deciding which analysis to use, whether the data fit the normal distribution was evaluated by Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro- Wilk tests. Data that do not conform to the normal distribution; Mann Whitney U test in pairwise comparisons for analysis, and in comparison of two or more variables; Kruskal- Wallis H test was used. Pairwise comparisons were made with the Mann Whitney U test to determine which groups were different in the analyzes that were significant. The relationship between the two scales was evaluated by Spearman Correlation analysis. The effect of mobbing on job satisfaction was tested with regression analysis. SPSS v23 statistical program was used in the analysis of the research. Keywords: Mobbing, Job Satisfaction, Travel Agency.
