A design-based research on the harezmi education model integrated into visual arts course in the education of gifted students

In this research, aims to determine the opinions of students and teachers regarding the implementation process and the activities implemented regarding the use of the Project-Based Harezmi Education Model integrated into the Visual Arts Course in the education of gifted students, student achievements and the effects of the products that emerged in the application on the students. Qualitative research was preferred as the method in the study. Since the design development and application process was carried out in a real application environment with the cooperation of both the researcher and the participants, the design-based research model was used in the study. The study group of the study consisted of 16 gifted students in the OYG (Special Abilities Development Program) group and 4 branch teachers who implemented the Harezmi Education Model. During the 14-week application process, data were obtained using different qualitative data collection tools according to the purpose and sub-purposes of the study. As a result of the research, it was seen that both teachers and students established relationships between the Harezmi Education Model and subjects belonging to different disciplines and developed multiple perspectives.
