Review of Özgür Aras Tüfek's children's books in terms of basic principles of children's literature and values education

In this research, Özgür Aras Tüfek's children's books were examined in terms of basic elements of children's literature and values education; It was evaluated in terms of its compatibility with the basic principles of children's literature, its content regarding the ten corevalues of the Ministry of Education, anditstreatment of this content. There search was conducted under the titles "An Examination of Özgür Aras Tüfek's Children's Books in Terms of Children's Literature Criteria" and "An Examination of Özgür Aras Tüfek's Children's Books in Terms of Values Education". Under the title "Examination of Özgür Aras Tüfek's Children's Books in Terms of Children's Literature Criteria", the suitability of the Works to the generally accepted criteria of children's literature in terms of external structure and internal structure features was examined. Under the title of "Examination of Özgür Aras Tüfek's Children's Books in Terms of Values Education", the contents of the works in question regarding the MEB ten core values of "justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, helpfulness" and their content processing were exemined. In this study, Özgür Aras Tüfek's series of five books called "Türkçenin Muhafızları" including "Bir Kelime Seyyahı, Simurg'a Yolculuk, Mutluluk Bilgisi, Kelimelerin Işığı, Gönüllerin Hocası" which are mainly aimed at the age group of secondary school students, and a children's fairy tale called " Evsiz Ben'in Hikâyesi " were examined. The data of there search was obtained by document analys is method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. A literature review was conducted at the beginning of the research; resources related to children's literature, values education and Turkish education were scanned. According to the results obtained, Özgür Aras Tüfek books were examined in terms of children's literature criteria and values education.
