The relationship between self efficacy and academic achievement motiva-tion (Example of secondary schools students)

In this study aimed to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy levels and motivation levels of academic achievement in the secondary school students ,according to some variables.The research population , private courses in the Kucukcekmece and Başakşehir district was created students who taking education during the 2014-2015 education year. The sample of the research, in 4th ,5th 6th 7th and 8th grade who read in these classes was created as determined by random sampling method 264 female and 385 male students as a total of 649. The survey method was used to collect data. Applying The survey is used to the "Personal Information Form" , "Academic Motivation Scale " and "Academic Self- Efficacy Scale " . Boarding status, gender, age, class , socio-economic status , place of residence , divorced status questions was located in this Personal Information Form. Academic self-efficacy scale has been developed by Steve Owen in1988. Academic motivation scale was developed to determine individual differences of academic motivation level of students by BOZANOĞLU in 2004. Data of obtained from this study was analyzed with SPSS 22 software package. Kolmogrov Z -Smirnov test was used to determine for analysis statistical methods of datas will be used to analyze the suitability of the normal distribution. Then ANOVA , F , Correlation and regression analysis, T test and tukey test was used. The students' academic motivation level was changed according to class ,gender and the perceived level of income as a result of researh. On the other hand, the students' academic self-efficacy level was changed by class variable and level of income but was not changed by gender differency.
