Abstract (EN)
In this study, the degree of meaning formation of the visual aspect of typographic elements used in the P&G family and how it interacts with other meaning modes in the semiological process are examined from a multimodal perspective. Typography is the sum of the features that underpin a business's design, brand voice and personality across all digital and traditional channels. Brand fonts and typography, like other brand components, should align with the brand's personality. In this context, all written, printed and oral sources of 4 different brands in the P&G family were examined, and the adventures of the logo and its symbols until today were investigated and examined. Considering the studies conducted by Keller, the general lines of product quality were interpreted semiologically, and the importance of brand logos and symbols was emphasized as a result of the thesis. In this context, care should be taken to ensure that the logos are clear and recognizable. While choosing the font, color and design in the logo, consumer perceptions should be taken into consideration and attention should be paid to whether these perceptions are in line with the brand's image, promise and slogan. In parallel with the changing market and consumer structure, the logo should be changed in order to provide a more successful and up-to-date appearance, when necessary, but a gradual change should be made so that the logo does not lose its qualitative advantages and meaning. Professional brands should carefully plan and include complementary brand elements such as brand music and brand scent in their brand strategies where necessary. Because the more senses the brand message appeals to, the stronger it is. As a result of this thesis, it has been emphasized that brand value is one of the most important elements of company value in this century.
