Abstract (EN)

In this thesis work, Pakize Ozcan's works have been studied within the context of Turkish education in terms of moral values education. Turkish language textbooks which are currently used in Turkish Secondary Schools have been used for specifying the stage of moral values. By means of these language text books, 44 (fourty four) moral values have been identified to be used in this research. In Pakize Ozcan's works, the improper behaviours (moral values) to avoid; longing for the past, being modern and democratic, cooperating and collaborating, being brave, patriotism, being patient, working hard and struggling, altrusim, being sensitive, peace, love, equality and justice, importance of education, significance of family cooperation, criticism at the present time, avoidance of hurting other people, responsibility, literary consciousness, friendship and fellowship, respect, beneficence, being compassionate and merciful, self confidence, confidence, protect the livings and the enviroment, honesty, searching for reality,hopefulness, liberty, place of woman in society, being neat and tidy, knowing yourself, neighbourhood relations, social beliefs, village life and city life, giving importance to health and well-being, tolerance, being modest, scientific, hospitality, respect to art and artists, being sensitive to history and cultural heritage. Because there are no findings of sensitivity to art and artist, being sensitive to history and cultural heritage values, the works have been studied and re-examined in terms of remnant 41 (forty one) moral values. .
