Abstract (EN)
The development of technology, the increase in population and the increase in irregular constructions trigger air pollution. After the pandemic conditions, indoor and outdoor air quality has gained even more importance. People spend a lot of time indoors, so it is important to keep indoor air quality at a level that does not affect their health. This study was conducted in 4 different districts of Adana (Seyhan, Yüreğir, Sarıçam and Çukurova) and lasted for 6 months. By choosing a station in each district, carbon dioxide, relative humidity and temperature measurements were carried out 3 times a day (at 10:00, 13:00, 16:00) indoors and outdoors, with a hand-held carbon dioxide measuring device. The measurements were converted into graphics with the Matlab 2019rd program and IBM SPSS 26 was used for statistical analysis. Results were interpreted using analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey HSD and Hockberg tests. According to the measurement results, it was observed that the amount of indoor carbon dioxide and relative humidity increased with the number of people, and it was observed that environmental factors were effective both in the outdoor and indoor environments at the stations where the measurement was taken. It has been determined that the indoor carbon dioxide values in the stations generally comply with the ASRAE Standard of 1000 ppm, so the indoor air quality is sufficient for human health. Detailed comments and discussions were made in the findings and discussion section.
