Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationship of internet addiction, impulsivity, materialism, loneliness, life satisfaction, depression-anxiety-stress variables with compulsive online buying behavior was investigated. Totaly 578 volunteers from several city of Turkey participated to this research. In the first stage of research, validity and reliability analysis of Turkish adaption work of Bergen hopping Scale was done for the usage of online buying. In the next stage; mediator model was tested to determine its role on study variables and compulsive online buying behavior (Hayes, 2013). The findings have shown that; internet addiction, impulsivity, depression-anxiety-stress and materialism predicts compulsive online buying behavior. In addition, the indirect effect of internet addiction on compulsive online buying behavior through materialism; the indirect effect of depression-anxiety-stress on compulsive online buying behavior was found to be mediated by the role of internet addiction. Finally, the results of the study, its strengths, limitations and recommendations for future studies was discussed in the light of the literature.
