Application methods of wood roofing materials and resistance under different climatic conditions.

In this study, it is aimed to compare the wood roofing material with other roofing materials and to make the usage widespread. Common roof types and other roofing materials were also analyzed in this study. In order to choose the materials suitable for the roof type, beside the technical aspects it is important to consider construction time and cost effectiveness. Many roofing materials, which are widely used today, are heavily influenced by the climatic conditions and are subject to detoriate and lose their strength partially. Disposal of the waste in wild country and/or in unauthorized grounds of the materials damaged during natural disasters or detoriated because of their short life time of 10-15 years are strongly damaging the environment. Although local governments have developed solutions to this problem, they are inadequate in the rapidly developing construction sector. The most efficient way to use the time has become a topic that the sector has been emphasizing. Recycling and low-carbon footprint materials are preferred for certification programs such as Leed and Breeam in important projects, but in many applications processes such as rapid supply and low cost come to the fore. Partial wood roofing materials are superior to other roofing materials in many aspects such as production, use, effects to nature and recycling. When we look at the roofing market of our country, it is seen that the companies come up with a different product every day but the majority ignores their effects on nature by prioritizing commercial expectations. In this context, Turkey is not yet on the market for this product, attract attention, a sense of responsibility towards nature, which are highlighted in this study conducted at the beginning of all the elements to make the production. Despite today's technology, more effortless and more environmentally friendly products can be used. Considering the fact that this measure can be taken in every field, it should not be forgotten that we should leave a better world to live in to future generations.
