Abstract (EN)

The countries party to the Paris Climate Agreement are required to adapt to the measures against global warming in line with the goal of leaving a habitable environment for future generations. Measures to be implemented with long-term plans in line with this requirement aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, keep global warming under control and ensure sustainable development. For this purpose, it is necessary to create transport models that will provide minimum emission with traffic density, transport infrastructure, planning, method, regulations, transformation and calculations in logistics activities. Sustainable logistics consists of environmental, social and economic factors. The environmental factor prioritises the minimisation of pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, the social factor prioritises the logistics activity for the benefit of the society in general, and the economic factor prioritises the low cost and high profitability. The technology factor in logistics-related planning is important in terms of making the processes efficient by using technological facilities. In this study, the site selection for the logistics villages planned to be established in Turkey was made by taking into account the environmental factors for the purpose of the Paris Climate Agreement. Along with these factors, economic and social factors have also been taken into consideration within the scope of sustainable logistics. Technology, the importance of which is increasing day by day in logistics as in every sector, has been included in the study as another factor of site selection. The logistics village location alternatives planned to be established by TCDD in Turkey have been evaluated by using all these factors with multi-criteria decision making methods and compared relatively. A list of criteria that can be used in the application was prepared through a detailed literature review, and the criteria to be used in the study were selected from this list by using expert opinions. Criteria weights were calculated by AHP method by taking expert opinions. TOPSIS and Fuzzy TOPSIS methods were used to rank the alternatives and the results obtained with these two methods were compared.
