Abstract (EN)

Because information technology is developing at a dazzling pace today, information security has become one of the most important problems. As it get easier to obtain information, it becomes difficult to protect it. In addition to provide benefits to mankind, developing technology has led to the new types of crime. In discovering the perpetrators of these crimes, present systems were inadequate both security forces and judicial authorites needed information technologies to determine and evaluate these crimes which are committed through informatics. Acquisition and analysis of digital evidences have become extremely important and it became necessary to use modern techniques rather than classical methods. Biometric systems were started to use both taking preventive measures to ensure security and determination of the identity of the criminals. In this thesis, it is aimed to design a system that will help identify criminals from their fingerprints and voice biometrics in computer forensic evaluation stage. The software which is developed in MATLAB has two seperate functions. In identification, it aims to use fingerprints and voice biometrics are most widely used in computer forensic analyzing. In fingerprint recognition system, fingerprint image are improved by using imace processing techniques and the percentage of similarity between two fingerprints images. In speaker recognition system, the voice which is entered from the file or through microphone is matched with the voices which are prerecorded in database and it is determined that whose voice it is.
