Özet (EN)

Burn is a very common trauma. Among all burns, thermal burns are much more common. There is no concensus over tne therapy of partial thickness ( grade 2) thermal burns. Variety of wound care products is sign for this situation. Still there is a controversy over the effectiveness of products for partial thickness thermal burn therapy. Mesotherapy is application of therapeutic agent intradermally to the pathologic localization. In this experimental study, it?s aimed to research the efficacy of mesotherapy in the partial thickness thermal burn therapy.Totally 50 wistar kind, male gender rat were included in the experiment and rats were divided randomly into 5 groups consisting equal number of rats.Group 1(n=10): Control group, there was no transaction applied after burning.Group 2(n=10): Sham group, mesotherapy was applied with serum physiologic after burning procedure.Group 3(n=10): Glutathion group, mesotherapy was applied with glutathion after burning procedureGroup 4(n=10): Taurin group, mesotherapy was applied with taurin after burning procedureGroup 5(n=10) : In L-carnitine goup, after burning procedure, mesotherapy was applied with L-carnitine.Mesotherapic agents that expected to be effective on burn therapy, were implemented deep intradermally by point technique. During the first 2 hours time following the thermal burn procedure, first cure of mesotherapy was initiated and continued to the 10th day. Before the sacrification process at the 22nd day, unhealed burn areas in each group were measured. For pathological assessment, biopsies were carried out through whole thermal burn areas created at the begining. In the assessment of unhealed burn area, the least unhealed area was belong to group 3 ( glutathion group) and then group 4 (Taurin group) and group 5 ( L-carnitine group) followed each other in that order.According to unhealed burn wound area, glutathion group, Taurin group and L-carnitine groups were statistically different from Control and Sham groups. The wound healing criteria such like burn wound healing, acute inflammation, chronic inflammation, the amount of granulation tissue, fibroblast maturation, the amount of collagen tissue, reepithelization, neovascularization and ulcer depth, were assessed among the pathology specimens by scoring. The best result was obtained from glutathion group and it was statistically significant. In L-carnitine and taurin groups, burn wound healing was much better comparing to sham and control groups but the result was not statistically significant.Mesotherapy with glutathion was concluded to be effective on partial thickness burn therapy in rats.
