Abstract (EN)

In this study, the importance of the concrete cover on the calculation and indirectly the change in the height of the concrete cover and its effect on the calculations were examined. In this thesis study, it was observed that the template reinforcements, which are applied during the installation of flooring reinforcement in reinforced concrete building constructions, but not included in the calculations when solving the static calculations. Since the template reinforcement will change the useful height parameter while calculating the slab reinforcement, it is estimated that there will be changes in the span and support moments. Therefore, there will be a change in the reinforcements determined for flooring. The effect of this situation on static calculations in different floor thicknesses was made by making a manual solution and the interpretation of the different results created with the help of Prota Structure static analysis program. In the first chapter, general information about reinforced concrete is given, the history of the concrete cover is mentioned and its importance is mentioned. In the second part; Calculations were made at the determined floor thicknesses. In the third part, the results obtained in the second part are shown with graphs and tables in the findings part. In the last section, which is the fourth section, the data are interpreted in the discussions and results section.
