Boron minerals and their constituents are used in many fields from metallurgical industry to automotive industry, from composite material production to nuclear industry. Boron and boron minerals are especially used in the field of metallurgy to improve the mechanical properties of materials. For example, the use of metallic materials as a coating material on the surfaces is often encountered. Boron surface as surface coating material can be coated with boron heat treatment inside the furnace as well as additional material in welded joints. In welding methods, TIG, MIG-MAG, plasma transfer arc welding and laser welding methods can be given as examples. In this study, Boron Carbide and Boron Oxıde powder is coated on three different flow values on AISI 304 stainless steel shaft material. With the synergic pulse MIG welding method, the holes of 60 mm distance, 8 mm diameter stainless steel rod were drilled in 2 mm depth and 7 mm diameter. B4C and B2O3 powder was added to these cavities opening to the peaks and the welded process was carried out. In order to prevent the B4C and B2O3 dust from flying into the cavities opened, it was put into a paste with pure alcohol and applied. After the addition of powder, welding was performed on the shaft tops as normal, single and double pulse. Because of the welding process, optical microscope images were taken. Micro hardness measurement was applied to the samples after optical examination. As a result of the examination of the coating interface, it was seen that the welded seam and stainless shaft material were metallurgical bonded and the welded seam was dendritic structures. When welding micro stiffness was examined, it was determined that the coating with double pulse current was harder than the ones with normal current and pulse current.
