Day by day, technology becomes a part of our lives and shows its effect in every area of life. Today, technology is used effectively in various fields of study, especially in health, defense and big data, and image processing, which is one of the popular methods, is frequently used. Different image processing methods are used in image processing applications and images are turned into data sources. In recent years, the constant expression and use of smart applications has increased the importance of image processing. In the thesis study, using image processing methods, a study on defense technologies, which is one of the popular areas today, was carried out and explosion images were analyzed. Predicting the blast waves resulting from the explosion is of great importance in analyzing the structure and location of the blast waves. Pressure, temperature and density increase significantly in the regions where the blast wave occurs, and these effects fade in a short time. For these reasons, the blast wave of a large-scale explosion cannot be seen and examined with the naked eye. In addition to these, the analysis of the blast wave resulting from the explosion and its effects on the environment is an important research topic. The wavelet patterns of blast waves cannot be seen with the naked eye and it takes time to interpret the emerging risks. Because of these problems, explosion images were used within the scope of the study and the effects of explosives were estimated by using noise removal, edge removal and various filters on these images. In this direction, both experimental data and real explosive images were used and the results were compared. When the calculation results obtained in the explosion load parameters are compared with the image processing application results, it is seen that the pressure values, which have a significant effect on the explosion energy, agree 98%. The image processing achievements obtained at the end of the study have been promising for new studies in the field of defense technologies.
