Abstract (EN)

Subaltern communities living in the margins of the physical, as well as the social spaces of the city struggle in a variety of ways in the economic and physical spaces of the city with the aim of getting involved in the city and survival. As participants of these struggles are not completely independent of relations of power, they are also not solely victims vis a vis the dominant ideology. In this study, Latife Tekin?s novels ?Dear Shameless Death?, ?Swords of Ice? and ?Berji Kristin: Tales from the Garbage Hills? are explored based on subaltern studies and urban poverty.
