Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to explain the relational, economic, hedonic, and sustainability benefits of sharing economy services on psychological ownership, consumer engagement, and future purchase intention, beginning with the lack of consumer engagement in the sharing economy. In addition, while explaining the effect of consumer benefits on psychological ownership, it is investigated whether co-creation has a moderator effect. The model developed in line with these objectives was tested. The study also made a cross-cultural comparison between consumers with sharing economy experience in Turkey and the UK. In the study, a total of 441 questionnaires were collected in Turkey and the UK and the collected questionnaires were tested with structural equation modelling. As a result of the research, it was revealed that relational, economic, hedonic and sustainability benefits positively affected psychological ownership and psychological ownership positively affected consumer engagement.
