Abstract (EN)
The aims of the study were to develop the Pelvic Floor Health Knowledge Quiz (PFHKQ) and to determine validity and reliability of the quiz. In this methodological study, a 44-item test was prepared to measure the participants' knowledge of all pelvic floor health and administered to 370 participants (273 females, 97 males). For the validity analysis of the PFHKQ, the face validity with the comprehensibility of the items, the content validity with taking expert opinions were done. Construct validity was examined by Rasch analysis. In the known group validity analyzes, the PFHKQ scores were compared with Mann-Whitney U test according to some demographic and clinical characteristics of the participants. In the reliability analysis of the PFHKQ, Person Separation Index (PSI) and Kuder-Richardson-20 (KR-20) coefficient were calculated for internal consistency reliability. It was seen 93.61% ratio the quite understandable of all items in this quiz. According to the Rasch model, a three subscale knowledge quiz (function / dysfunction; risk / etiology; diagnosis and treatment) was defined. Individuals who are health workers or students compared to those who are not health workers or students; they who pelvic floor problems had heard before compared to those who had not heard before; they who stated that they would go to a doctor when they had a pelvic floor problem compared to those who stated that they would not go to a doctor; they who know pelvic floor exercises (PFE) compared those who do not know and they who apply the PFE compared those who do not apply were detected to be higher the PFHKQ and subdimension knowledge levels (p<0.05). It was found thet the PSI and the KR-20 values were 0.892 and 0.890 for the function / dysfunction subscale, 0.938 and 0.920 for the risk / etiology subscale, 0.912 and 0.924 for the diagnosis and treatment subscale, and 0.952 and 0.926 for the PFHKQ total score, respectively. As a result, the PFHKQ was found to be a valid and reliable quiz in the Turkish population. Keywords: Knowledge, pelvic floor, questionnaire, reliability, validity
