Abstract (EN)
In this study, the communicative context of performance art is examined through the performances of Marina Abramovic. During this review, the components, types, models, and theories of the concept of communication, the components of the concept of art and the development of the concept of Performance Art, the concept of art as a means of communication, the concept of socialization and postmodern, the common characteristics of the concepts of performance art and communication were examined first; Marina Abramovic's life, performances, and philosophical meanings are discussed, and finally, Abramovic's performances are examined through communication models and theories. During the literature review, the concept of communication and the concept of performance art was examined from a general perspective and their historical processes were examined. All examples of performance art are taken from Marina Abramovic. The study aims to search for answers to the questions of whether performance art is the right method of transmitting messages, and whether the communication Marina Abramovic is trying to establish through her performances is the right communication. Since correct communication addresses a very general area, correct communication will be evaluated through the postmodernism (socialization) concepts thesis. As a result, it has been analyzed whether there is correct communication through the concepts of socialization (socialization) and postmodernism, in addition to the literature review, the analysis and interpretation of the work of art are also within the limits of the study.
