Abstract (EN)

This study reviews the Balanced Scorecard model which is a strategic performance management tool. It is necessary that performance evaluation systems aiming to evaluate the success of companies within all respects consider the non-financial dimensions, as well as the financial dimensions too. Balanced Scorecard model which is one of the multi-dimensional performance evaluation methods, shows that a company's performance can be measured with four indicators, namely in the dimensions of finance, dimensions of customer, intra-company dimensions, dimensions of learning and development. In chapter one of this study, the concept of performance, performance management and performance measurement methods were explained. In chapter two, Balanced Scorecard model was described in detail. In chapter three, applicability of Balanced Scorecard model in the ceramic plant was shown. When the results of Balanced Scorecard model application at the Ceramic Tile Factory which is owned by Seramiksan are examine, it is observed that the results are successful is financial, customer and intra-company dimensions. Studies on the areas that need to be improved in learning and development dimension will be carried out and more effective results will be obtained.
