In this work, 4-(pentachlorophenoxy)phthalonitrile was synthesized from 4-nitrophthalonitrile and pentachlorophenol Then phthalocyanine complex were synhtesized with divalent acetate salts of Cu, Co, Ni, and Zn metals.Characterization of the comlexes were performed by using FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, UV-Visible spectra, thermal analysis (TGA, DTA), and the electrochemical properties of these complexes were investigated.Key words: phthalocyanine, phthalimid, pentachlorophenol, CuPc, CoPc, NiPc, ZnPc
