Abstract (EN)
Mankind has constantly changed his environment since its creation. The developing technology is accelerating the change. A controlled change can be normalized, but uncontrolled changes can produce results that are irreversible. Human being not only change his own habitat, but also the ecological structure of the surrounding area. Therefore, landscape changes resulting from the development of technology are analyzed and controlled in recent years. Within the scope of this study, the landscape changes of the Samandağ coastal area of Hatay province in the period of 1992/ 2007/ 2017 have been analyzed. In this study, 30 x 30 m. resolution Landsat satellite images were used. Supervised area classification for land use / land cover (LU / LC) which based on Corine land cover classification, was created with the help of Envi 5.3 software. ArcMAP 10.2 software was used to identify changes, quantify the data and create maps. In addition to field-based changes, changes in class and landscape levels in landscape metrics were examined. Landscape metrics have been created with the use of "Patch Analyst" plugin in ArcMAP 10.2. As a result, it has been determined that the most change in the study area were in beaches, dunes and sands as 39,32 ha. Most important changes accured in increases are beaches, dunes and sands, complex cultivation patern areas and water courses which are % 0,38, % 0,13 and % 0,08 between 1992 – 2007 – 2017 repectively. Also most important changes accured in decreases are constantly irrigated area, green urban areas and fruit trees and berry platations which are % 0,20, % 0,18 and % 0,09 repectively. There has been an increase in the number of patches in mixed agriculture and natural meadows over the last 25 years, while the number of patches in other uses has decreased in the landscape metrics analysis. Therefore, in the mixed agriculture and natural meadows, fragmentation/splitting occurred, while growth or disappearance was detected in other uses. Also in the study, projections were created with the use of "Molusce" plug-in in the QGIS software. It has been analyzed that continuous city structures can be concentrated in the inner parts of the area over the next 25 years. Analysis shows that mixed forests and mixed agricultural areas could be fragmented. As a result of the study, proposals for the utilization and planning of the area were presented.
