Abstract (EN)
The ancient city of Phaselis, the study area, is located in the south west of Antalya Province, north of Tekirova. This ancient city is one of the important tourism centers of Antalya. According to the data of the Central Directorate of Rotary Capital Management under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, it has hosted an average of 204,122 visitors in the last four years. It is very important for both human health and Antalya province economy to determine the heavy metal anomalies in the beach sands of Phaselis Ancient City, which has such an important place in terms of tourism, and to make works aimed at improvement if deemed necessary. In order to be consistent with the work, samples were systematically taken from the field. Glow loss, sieve analysis, XRF and XRD analyses were applied on the samples taken. Considering the results of the analysis and literature studies obtained, it was tried to determine the heavy metal content. Enrichment factor, geo-accumulation index and contamination factor were calculated with the elements identified in the sample. The data obtained as a result of all the analysis and examinations and the views, maps and calculations about the coast of Phaselis Ancient City are supported and explained.
