Özet (EN)
Tons of waste is generated every day in all areas of industry and in our daily life around the world. Waste is a big problem because of the damage it causes to the environment and human health. Efforts are being made to prevent the formation of wastes primarily for this problem. There are also recycling studies for wastes that cannot be prevented. Wastes arising in many areas are used in various sectors and recycled. There are also studies in the construction sector for the recycling of various wastes. These studies partially bring solutions to eliminate the waste problem. This study was made for the recycling of agricultural waste, rice. In the study, olive ash remaining from pomace used as fuel was used. The engineering properties of pomace ash-added mortars were produced. Mortar samples were produced by substituting %5, %10, %12, %15, %20 ve %25 pomace ash instead of cement. Tests were applied to the mortar samples in fresh and hardened state. While fresh unit weight and spreading tests were applied in fresh state, pressure, bending, capillary water absorption tests were applied in the hardened state. The engineering properties of the olive pomace ash added mortars obtained as a result of the study were compared with the fly ash added mortar samples, which is an industrial waste.
