The effects of enzyme mixture supplementation on performance in broilers fed diets containing rice bran

Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to evaluate the effects of enzyme mixture (phytase, ß-glucanase, xylanase, cellulase) supplementation on performance (body weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio), carcass yield, some internal organ weights, lenghts of intestine segments and digestibilities of some nutrients in broilers fed diets containing rice bran.Totally 375 male Ross 308 chicks were used in the experiment. Chicks were randomly divided into control, first experimental and second experimental groups each containing 125 chicks. Each group was assigned to five replications each containing 25 birds per floor pen. The study was terminated at day 42.In the present study, from 1 to 10 d of age a starter diet (23% crude protein; 3010 kcal/kg ME), from 21 to 28 d of age a grower diet (20% crude protein; 3100 kcal/kg ME) and from 29 to 42 d of age a finisher diet (19% crude protein; 3225 kcal/kg ME) were fed. The treatment groups in the experiment were; control: corn-soybean meal based diet; first experimental: rice bran supplemented at the level of 15% of diet and second experimental group: enzyme mixture supplied diet containing 15% rice bran. Mixture of four commercial enzyme [phytase: Kavimix® Natuphos 500 G (500 FTU/kg diet) and enzyme mixture Kavimix® Safizym GP 60: (endo?1,3(4)-ß glucanase 1 410 000 IU/kg, endo?1,4-ß xylanase 600 000 IU/kg ve cellulase 10 200 IU/kg)] were added to test diet from 1 to 42 d of age.Dietary supplementation of rice bran to 15% of diet and enzyme mixture addition to rice bran diet had no significant effect on body weight, but increased feed consumption (p>0,05). In addition to this, feed conversion ratio findings among the groups were not significant.Carcass yield did not affected from dietary supplementation of rice bran and enyzme mixture. Beside this, differences between liver, gizzard and abdominal fat weights were not significant. Also, lenghts of some small intestine parts (duodenum, jejenum, ileum and secum) and nutrient digestibilites were not affected from dietary treatments.
