Abstract (EN)

In the age of technology and speed, digitalism affects our lives in many ways. In addition, psychological, sociological and physical effects directly or indirectly affect our interests, abilities and success. Mathematics, which is the field of science where our students have the most difficulty in our country, is the aim of revealing and directing human abilities, and gaining the habit of systematic and logical thinking. In order to create more efficient mathematics teaching environments in educational institutions researches are increasing day by day. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the factors related to digitalism that affect PISA 2018 mathematical literacy achievements in Turkey at the highest level. In the 2018 PISA exam data, especially questions related to digitalism were selected and the variables that are thought to affect the mathematical success of the students in this subject were emphasized. In this analysis, which was carried out using WEKA software, J48, JCHAID, Random Forest, Hoeffding tree, M5P, Functions Elastic, Functions Linear Regression, Logistic model, methods were applied. The performances in the analysis results were compared in terms of correct classification number, correct classification rate, kappa statistics, square root error and relative square root error values. Keywords: Regression, Classification algorithms, Mathematics succes, PISA 2018, WEKA.
