Abstract (EN)
In this study, GMO analyses were studied in 30 chocolate and 15 biscuit samples in different compositions belonging to different or same companies that came imported to our country, which is consumed quite a lot as a snack in the world and in our country. The studies were made accordingly with the "GMO Analysis Strategy Implementation Instruction" determined by the General Directorate of Food and Control of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. For GMO analysis Anatolia Geneworks kit methods were used. Analysis was done with real time PCR device. 35s promoter, tNOS terminator and FMV promoter scan has been made for GMO analysis. Gene has been scanned belong were performed on corn, soy and cotton plants, which are the most genetically modified plants. When the these gene of to plants belong is detected, EURL GMFF for soy according to their methods "MON87701, MON87708, MON87769, CV127, DP305423-1, MON87751-7, DAS44406-6, DAS68416-4, DAS81419-2" specific event scanning, for the corn plant "DAS40278-9" specific event scanning, for cotton plant "281-24-236, 3006-210-23, GHB614" specific event has been scanned were performed. In all samples studied 35s promoter, tNOS terminator and FMV promoter has been encountered. In 23 of the 30 chocolate samples studied, 15 biscuit samples and 5 genes belonging to soy plants were identified and specific event scans were performed. Genes belonging to corn and cotton plants were not found. The results of the specific event search were also negative determined. As a result, GMO products were not found in the chocolates and biscuits imported to our country and used in our study.
