Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of combined training on body composition and performance in beach soccer. A total of 26 footballers, 14 of them playing in the Beach Soccer National Team and 12 non-national footballers playing in the Turkish Beach Soccer League, participated in the study voluntarily. Beach Soccer National Team athletes constituted the exercise group and non-national athletes who played in the Turkish Beach Soccer League constituted the control group. Two measurements were performed in both groups at six-week intervals. The exercise group performed beach soccer-specific combined training for six weeks, but the control group did not perform any training other than their own training. Body weight (BW), body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage (BMF), body fat mass (BMM) and performance (sit and reach, 20m sprint, vertical jump, standing long jump, Illinois agility) tests were applied to both groups. Since the number of participants was less than 50, Shapiro-Wilk test was performed for normality test. Since the number of participants was below 50, Shapiro-Wilk test was performed for normality test. In order to reveal the difference between normally distributed data, the paired samples t test, one of the parametric tests, was performed. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was applied for data that did not show normal distribution. Significance level was taken as p<.05. In the data obtained as a result of statistics, "The Effect of Combined Training on Body Composition and Performance in Beach Soccer" was evaluated. According to the findings obtained in the study, a significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test values of the exercise group in terms of the VYY, VYK, sit reach, 20m. sprint, vertical jump, standing long jump and Illinois agility tests (p<.05). As a result, it was determined that athletes who did combined training improved their body composition and performance values better than athletes who did not train.
