A comparative study in terms of cost between regulan and irregular structures in plan

in this study, which is presented as a master's thesis, buildings with regular reinforced concrete structural systems and buildings with irregular structural systems are compared in terms of costs in architectural projects. In order to make a healthy comparison, an architectural project whose reinforced concrete carrier system is irregular in plan was taken as an example, and the amounts of iron and concrete were calculated by the civil engineer with the STA4CAD Program. Then, the reinforced concrete carrier system was made as regular as possible with the least possible intervention in the spatial organization of the same project, and the iron and concrete amounts of the second phase were calculated with the same STA4CAD program. The first part of the study, which consists of five parts, includes the introduction of the subject, the review of the studies on the subject, the purpose and scope of the study. In the second part, the effects of the irregular structures in the plan on the cost of the structural system are included. In this section, the cost of building carrier systems is examined and the factors affecting this cost are explained. In the third chapter, information is given about the buildings to be analyzed. In the fourth chapter, the static analysis of 5 buildings with reinforced concrete structural system irregularity was made and the costs of iron, ready mixed concrete, ironwork and formwork were determined as the basis of the cost. In the fifth chapter, the results obtained in this study are explained. The evaluation of the numerical results and possible expansion areas of the research topic are also included in the last section.
