Abstract (EN)
This study includes an analyzing research about the general framework of "resilience" concept. The first part of the thesis contains different approaches to the concept, related other concepts and the process of entreating to different disciplines of resilience and over the prominent studies that taking place in literature. In the second part, inclusion of concept to the planning discipline, concept's layers at the urban scale and the meaning of the concept in the disaster management context are summarized. As to last part, there are elaborations about the dynamics of resilience in social content and queries on societal possibility in relevance to sociologic theories. The study created as compilation working which examining interested literature with definitive analysis. With the integrated analyses, meaning of the concept in planning discipline and social dimension is examined. In conclusion, there is a criticism about contradiction with current situation both technical and social dimension, being unintegrated concept in practice and accordingly being a temporal tendency of the resilience. It is believed that although resilience is included in the processes as a theoretical base; it is not an internalizable concept and it is not enough clear to meet the guidance mission. Instead of adapting the rooted concepts into the planning applications without taking into account the existing dynamics, it is thinked that new tools which supporting through continuous analysis and compatible local dynamics should be developed. At this point, it is emphasized that there is a need for innovation about the approach especially in planning discipline because it remain incapable procedurally causing from discounting of social extent at global and local scale. Accordingly it is thought that leading of social sciences for planning will be a suitable step.
