Abstract (EN)
Objective We aim to evaluate whether adding measurement of uterin artery indices and maternal serum placental growth factor levels could predict ischemic placental disease(IPD) cases, during the first trimester combined screening. Methods: During this prospective observational study 465 patients were included between September 2014 and September 2015. Patients were categorized as 2 groups: Group I - control group (n:378) and Group II disease group [ early preeclampsia (n:4), intrauterin growth restriction(n:19) and late preeclampsia(n:11)]. Group II was also divided as subgroups, Group IIa ( early preeclampsia and intrauterin growth restriction) and Group II b ( patients with late preeclampsia (11) according to the recent hypothetical IPD definitions. Results: Our study were include obstetric results of 465 patients. After excluding the results of patients don't meet the study criteria thesis were written with the results of 412 patients. 378 (%91.3) of them were control group and 34 (%8.7) were disease group. BMI, systolic blood pressure, left uterin artery PI, mean uterin artery PI, placental growth factor, PAPP-A and fetal weight were significant differences between control and disease group. Conclusion: Combining uterine artery doppler evaluation and maternal serum placental growth factor levels provide effective tools for prediction of ischemic placental diseases during first trimester combined screening. Key words: preeclampsia, intrauterin growth restriction, placental growth factor.
