A deconstructive reading from a plastic perspective: Dada and surrealism

The fact that concept of the deconstruction, which is attributed to postmodern period was generally dealt with in assosiciation with work of art in relevant period caused narrowing of this cancept. Accordingly, it is cansidered that there were prototypes about dadaism an surrealism in modern era it is found necessory to examine the subject because of it is seen in the sources in which detailed research has not been done in body of literature. This research aims to exposition and discussion about relation of dadaist and surrealist works with deconstruction in terms of form, meaning and discourse the research was studied in line with purpose qualitatirely and it was carried out according to hermeneutic pattern. At least two works of Marcel Duchamp, Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Hoch, Rooul Hausman And George Grosz in Dadaism and Francis Picobia, Max Ernst, Andre Masson, Rene Magritte and Salvador Dali in Surrealism constituted the working group. It is searched existence of deconstruction in respect to form, meaning and discourse; it is searched and discussed thoroughly with descriptive, interpretive, evaluativist in this work. Dada advocates to ravage of establised order while there is a rebellion against current order in decanstruction and dadaism but decanstruction advocates formation metamorphosis to reconstruction without ravage the construction. Accordingly, it is seen deconstruction shows positive approach. Dada shows negative attitude. The criticism which decanstructive thought brings taword existence metaphysic, corresponds to ravage of surrealist's real situation that beyond it and reyection op truthful side. It is determined analyzing and implementing of concept, method and technic in dadaism and surrealist art contribute to deconstruction, it is discovered artists product work of art based on deconstrruction thought. It is concluded early decanstruction examples in plastic arts are in dadaist and surrealist work with investigated and implemented.
